
Kauno Kolegija’s Alytus Faculty is pleased to begin the 2025–2026 academic year with a new team member – Dr. Larbi Safaa, an international expert in tourism management, academic, and leader of research initiatives.
In 2012, Dr. Safaa earned his PhD in Management from the University of Angers in France, and since 2013, he has been lecturing at the Center for Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Management at Cadi Ayyad University in Morocco. His research stands out for its interdisciplinary approach and covers creative and sustainable tourism, organizational performance, and the interaction between tourism demand and supply.
From 2021 to 2023, Dr. Safaa headed the Department of Tourism, Management, and Communication and coordinated special issues in international academic journals such as Téoros, Mondes du Tourisme, and Études Caribéennes.
Currently, Dr. Safaa serves as the President of the Center for Tourism Researchers and Experts on Resilience and is the founder of the International Conference on Tourism Research (CIRT) and the International Congress on Innovative Territories (CITI).
During his time at Kauno Kolegija’s Alytus Faculty, Dr. Safaa will be actively involved in research activities, prepare and submit publications to journals indexed in the SCOPUS database, represent the college at international conferences, and contribute to the development of international research projects. His work will help strengthen the faculty’s internationalization, improve study quality, and promote the practical application of science.
